PARAMOTOR TRAINING BUILT ON PROPER WING HANDLING

Learn powered paragliding through a staged, practical training route. We build the wing skills first, then add the motor once your launch, control and landing technique is ready.

Paramotoring is easier to learn when the foundations are right.

Good paramotoring starts long before the engine is on your back. You need to understand the wing, feel what it is doing, control it confidently and make calm decisions during launch and landing.

At Elevate, we use a staged approach. You first develop solid paraglider handling skills using the best method for the day, including hill, tow and winch-based training where appropriate. Once the wing is no longer the thing overwhelming you, we start adding the powered elements.

That means the motor is introduced into a safer, more controlled training process. You are not trying to learn everything at once. You build the aircraft first, then add the engine.

01

Adaptive learning

Training is built around the conditions, the site and your progress, rather than forcing a fixed plan on a day that does not suit it.

02

Powered progression

We work through ground handling, launch control, flight planning, circuit discipline, landing accuracy and safe motor management.

03

Real-world confidence

The aim is not just to get you airborne. It is to help you understand when to fly, when not to fly, and how to make good decisions.

Current powered training routes and pricing.

The route we recommend depends on whether you are completely new to flying, already paragliding, or converting into powered flight. The aim is to build the wing skills first, then add the right progression at the right time.

Paramotor Day Taster

£250

A practical introduction to paramotoring. You will start by learning the essential wing skills that sit underneath all safe powered flying.

You will not normally fly with a motor on day one. The focus is control, confidence and understanding the wing.

Club Pilot (Novice) Rating

£1,500

The next stage towards becoming a more capable pilot, with stronger focus on judgement, consistency, conditions and supervised progression.

£1,000

For trained pilots who want structured coaching, confidence-building, refreshers, site judgement or focused progression before flying more independently.

Talk to us

Freedom, but with structure behind it.

Paramotoring gives you the freedom to launch from suitable open spaces, climb under your own power and explore from the air. The training has to respect that freedom, because once you are qualified, your decisions matter.

That is why the Elevate route is deliberately practical. We want you to leave with the skills, judgement and confidence to fly sensibly, not just the memory of one exciting flight.

Common questions before you start paramotoring.

Do I need previous flying experience?

No. We can start from the beginning. You will first learn how to handle and fly the wing before moving towards powered flight.

Will I fly with the motor on my first day?

Usually not. A first taster day is normally about building the wing control that makes powered flying safer later on.

Why learn the paraglider first?

Because the wing is the aircraft. If you can control the wing properly without power, adding the motor becomes a more sensible and manageable step.

Can existing paragliding pilots convert?

Yes. If you already fly, we can focus on the powered differences, including engine management, torque, launch technique, airspace, navigation and decision-making.
